At VGT, we are committed to environmental stewardship and taking action to effectively reduce our carbon footprint. We believe all businesses have a responsibility to address climate change - That's why we have been building our energy generation and storage capacities over the last 5 years.
One of our key sustainability measures is the establishment of 80 solar panels on our premises. These panels have the capacity to deliver up to 20kW of renewable energy harnessed from the sun. By utilising solar energy, we effectively diminish dependence on conventional, non-renewable energy sources, bringing down greenhouse gas emissions related to our daily office operations.
To improve the effectiveness of our solar framework, VGT recently installed a state-of-the-art Tesla Powerwall at our Thornton office. The Tesla Powerwall has a 13kW/h storage capacity, allowing us to save generated energy that is excess to our needs. This stored energy can then be utilised during peak demand periods, empowering us to maximise the efficacy of our renewable energy assets. Through the combination of our solar panels and the Tesla Powerwall, VGT’s Thornton office has accomplished effective self-sufficiency and have almost totally neutralised our carbon impression.
At VGT, we are committed to maintaining carbon minimisation and embracing advancing technology by actively addressing our carbon emissions. As part of this effort, we have set a specific goal to reduce the carbon emissions attributed to our field vehicles. To achieve this, we’re taking proactive steps to upgrade our vehicle fleet with more fuel-efficient models, including our most recent purchase the Y model Tesla, which has been subtly badged.
We are committed to continually adapting our processes, equipment and procedures as renewable technology becomes more accessible. This includes regular monitoring of our energy consumption, investigating new renewable energy alternatives, and pursuing energy-efficient innovations where opportunities arise. We intend to continue innovating and to lead by example in promoting sustainable practices throughout our business.
At VGT, "sustainability" isn’t just a buzzword; it is a core value that shapes how we grow our business. We believe that through responsible consultation and continued innovation, optimisation and prioritisation of eco-friendly alternatives; we can help to craft a sustainable future.
